WELCOME TO WORSHIP at Cramond Kirk in church and on-line. We are glad you have been able to join us.

FURTHER INFORMATION on many of the following announcements is available from Louise in the Cramond Kirk Office or from Alan Fisher at Pennywell Kirk (fishatthewell@hotmail.com). The Cramond Kirk office is open from 9.30 am to 12.30 pm, Monday to Friday. Louise can also be contacted on 336 2036 or by e-mail at office@cramondkirk.org.uk.

CONTACTING REVEREND JULIA CATO If you need to contact Julia, her phone number is 07706 454148 and her email address is jcato@churchofscotland.org.uk.

THE CHRISTMAS TREE FESTIVAL 2024 This year Cramond Kirk’s Christmas Tree Festival will take place from 1 December 2024 to 6 January 2025. The theme is Reduce, Reuse, Recycle and all we ask is that trees be made from or decorated with recycled materials. If you’re a member of a club, group, organisation, choir, band etc and would like to take part, please contact the Kirk Office or email the Christmas Tree Festival team at christmastreefestival@cramondkirk.org.uk. It’s a great way to publicise your group and good fun too.

MANY THANKS to everyone who supported the recent Teenage Cancer Trust fundraising coffee morning at Pennywell. Just over £374 was raised for a very worthy cause.

PARISH GROUPING Within the 2023 Presbytery Mission Plan, we are part of a parish grouping along with Davidson’s Mains, Drylaw and St Columba’s Blackhall. Drylaw and St Columba’s recently voted to unite but Drylaw voted not to accept the sitting minister. This is not unique as other churches face similar situations. Presbytery will now consider the result of the congregational vote before making a final decision. There are implications for many churches in our part of Edinburgh over the development of the mission plan. However, we are fortunate to have our new parish and can continue with our local plans.

TIME TO REVIEW & UPDATE In the coming weeks all members of Edinburgh Northwest Kirk will be receiving a letter inviting you to let us know how you wish to be contacted. In this way we hope to be able to keep in touch in a way that works best for you and to keep you better informed of what is happening at Edinburgh Northwest Kirk.

A SAFE LISTENING PLACE Domestic abuse affects 1 in 5 women in Scotland at some point in their lives. An awareness raising morning looking at the issues and how we can respond is being held at Greenbank Parish Church on Saturday, 9 November from 9.30 am – 12.30 pm. Julia and a number of Edinburgh Northwest Kirk members are going along and if you’d like to join them, please contact Julia or Louise in the Kirk Office.
