AN INFORMAL CONGREGATIONAL DINNER is being held in Ye Olde Inn, Davidsons Mains on Friday, 6 June at 6.30 pm. Please let Louise in the Kirk Office know if you’d like to come along as numbers are limited.

THE MEN’S COFFEE & BACON ROLL MORNING is being held in the Bruntsfield Golf Club lounge on Thursday, 22 May from 10.30 am – 12 noon. Cost : £5. Please let Louise know if you’d like to attend.

A BAKE SALE Cramond Brownies are holding a bake sale in the Kirk Hall at 6 pm on Wednesday, 14 May. Please come and stock up on lots of goodies and help support Edinburgh Children’s Hospital.

MANY THANKS to everyone who supported the Teenage Cancer Trust coffee morning at Pennywell last Saturday. The coffee morning raised £506. 

AND THANKS TOO to all those who came along to the coffee & cake afternoon in Cramond Kirk Hall last Sunday where £885 was raised for Maggie’s Centre.

THE 2025 GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE CHURCH OF SCOTLAND will meet from 17 – 22 May. Full details of the week including copies of the reports and papers as well as the livestream link to the proceedings are available HERE

NORTH EDINBURGH COMMUNITY FESTIVAL Edinburgh Northwest Kirk has a stall at the North Edinburgh Community Festival taking place on Saturday, 17 May. This is a fantastic outreach to the community, attended by thousands of people. We do need more people to be on our stall. If you could help for an hour or so during the day please see Elspeth Harley after this Sunday's service or call her on 07950 076528.

CRAMOND COMMUNITY CHOIR will be holding its summer concert in Cramond Kirk Hall on Tuesday, 3 June at 7.30 pm. Tickets cost £10, including refreshments, and are available from Ian Huggan at iwhuggan@gmail.com

THE JUBILO SPRING CONCERT Irene Stockton, one of our choir members, will be singing with Jubilo in their spring concert in St Cuthbert’s Parish Church on Saturday, 17 May at 7.30 pm. The programme will include the Chichester Psalms by Leonard Bernstein and Duke Ellington’s Sacred Concert. Tickets cost £15 and are available HERE.

FRESH START Many thanks for all the recent donations which are always welcome and can be left on the Fresh Start table in the Kirk Hall at any time or delivered to the Fresh Start warehouse at 22-24 Ferry Road Drive from Mon–Thurs, 9 am – 4 pm. Further information on Fresh Start is available HERE.

CHRISTIAN AID WEEK

11 – 17 MAY 2025

Christian Aid Collection There will be a retiring collection for Christian Aid at the close of next Sunday’s services.

House to House Deliveries/Collections For all volunteer collectors and deliverers, your red bags are available for collection from Cramond Kirk Session House on the mornings of 27 April, 4 and 11 May. At present we have a number of districts which are uncovered and would be very grateful for any help delivering to these districts. If you are able to help, please pick up one of the unallocated bags from the Session House, write your name on the label on the front and let us know which bag you have. The envelopes only need to be delivered.

A Christian Aid Service, marking 80 years of Christian Aid in Scotland, is being held in St Giles’ Cathedral at 7 pm on Saturday, 17 May. All are welcome. Further details are available HERE.

 

Forth Valley Chorus is performing in Blackhall St Columba’s Church at 7 pm on Saturday, 17 May. Tickets cost £12, including refreshments, and part of the proceeds will go to Christian Aid. Tickets are available HERE

THE CRAMOND WALKERS next walk is on Friday, 16 May with a walk from Auchterarder through Cloan Glen (9.5 km).  Meet : Barnton Avenue West at 10 am or Auchterarder at at 11 am. Further information is available HERE

‘THE PLACE TO BE’ COFFEE MORNING is held in Pennywell Kirk Hall every Monday at 10 am. All are welcome.

CRAMOND COFFEE & CHAT is on every Monday from 10.30 am to 12 noon in the Gathering Space of Cramond Kirk Hall and all are welcome.

A SERVICE OF THANKSGIVING for the life of George Penrose will be held in Cramond Kirk on Tuesday, 13 May at 2.30 pm.

LIVE STREAMING Please note that the 10 am service at Cramond Kirk and the 11 am service at Pennywell Kirk are live streamed to the Kirk website every Sunday morning. The cameras will focus on the front of the Kirks – the pulpit, lectern and Communion Table. However some of those sitting at the front may also be in camera shot. For those of you watching from home, the link to Cramond Kirk's live stream can be found HERE and Pennywell Kirk's service is available HERE. The live services will also be available to watch later on Facebook and on the website.
